The Ft. Myers Cadillac Escalade dealer is excited about the arrival of the next-generation Cadillac Escalade in 2013. Rick Spina, GM’s global vehicle line executive for full-sized trucks, explains why they decided to create the next-generation model of the Escalade, “The SUVs are aimed at people who need more than two rows, and they need capability,” They are very fond of their SUVs, and we will continue to serve them. Sales are picking up, plus there aren’t too many players in the game.” GM has yet to confirm all the details for the next generation Cadillac Escalade, but this car already has people talking.

The used Cadillac Escalade Naples dealership has heard rumors that this next-generation model of the Escalade will be moved from the GMT900 platform that has been used in previous Escalade, Suburban, and Yukon models to the smaller Lamada crossover platform that is used in previous Traverse, Enclave, and Acadia models. This would make the 2013 Escalade sportier, smaller, and more fuel efficient. Although there are many rumors that this is going to happen, there has been no official word from Cadillac if the 2013 Escalade will stay on the GMT900 platform or move to the Lamada crossover platform. In my opinion, I think if the 2013 Escalade is changed to the Lamada platform it will lose it’s attractiveness to consumers who like the fact that the Escalade is so big.

The 2013 Cadillac Escalade is said to have a transverse-mounted small-block V-8 engine that previous Escalade models have used. It is also said that the V8 will use the fuel injector technology to make this new model more environmentally friendly. Making this new model more environmentally will definitely make it more attractive for those people who need a larger model car, but are concerned about the environment. There has been no word yet on what the 2013 Escalade will look like on the inside, but it will probably be similar to previous Escalade models.

GMC is expected to release more details about the 2013 Cadillac Escalade in the next couple of months and there has been no word on exactly when Ft. Myers Cadillac Escalade will carry this new Escalade model. The only fact Cadillac has released regarding the car’s availability is it will be sometime in 2013.
